Today, we will once again face an ex-Real Madrid player.

In the six goals Real Madrid have conceded in all competitions this season, in all of them, players loaned from, or who were once part of Real Madrid were involved.

First, it was Arribas in his first match with Almeria. Two weeks later it was Borja Mayoral. After that, Kubo assisted in Real Sociedad’s goal vs Real Madrid, and the latest example is Morata with two goals for Atletico Madrid, and once involved with the club, Saul Niguez, with two assists.

It is funny to say, but it seems players who once wore the Royal White have something extra to prove when they face their ex-club.

Out of the names mentioned, Real Madrid own the buy-back clause for Arribas and Kubo, while Mayoral, Morata and Saul are a long forgotten story at the club.

Tonight, another Real Madrid player will step onto the Bernabeu as a rival.

We’re talking about Marvin Park, a name Real Madrid fans know well after his few games under Zinedine Zidane in 2020/21 – a season without fans and with a lot of injuries, which saw the club use Castilla players like never before.

Marvin was injured but he came back last week and played 45 minutes in Las Palmas’ first win of the season, 1-0 vs Granada.

He is called up for tonight’s game and will probably get minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Real Madrid fans hope he doesn’t have the same luck as the above mentioned names.

In case he assists or scores tonight, the 100% record of ex-Real Madrid players harming the club will remain intact. The match start tonight at 19:00 CET, where Real Madrid will look to be back in winning ways after suffering the first defeat of the season to Atletico Madrid.
